Turn and Spurn

Friday, December 8, 2006 Rich Rodriguez showed the world his true self. He and his attorney either played Alabama for fools or either let the world know that Rita wears the pants in the Rod household in the hills of Morgantown.

We should have known from his "hold the rope" comment following the Rutgers game that his character was suspect.

Bama, move on. Okay, we saw someone turn on us after reaching an agreement in principle. Okay, we were spurned. Just remember this: your sins will find you out. Rod lied in his press conference after having lied to Alabama. If the Mountaineers want a liar, so be it.

After hearing his press conference, Alabama is lucky he didn't agree to be the next head coach.

Right now, the AD must focus first on keeping the players from becoming disheartened, keep the recruits in line with the Bama program, and assess how they approach this coaching search.

The Tide will Roll Again. We must not stoop to the level of Rod and Rita.
