Truthfully, he did not get the job done at Bama. Whether he was going to be demoted or not is not the crucial point. The crucial point is we need a quarterback coach with PROVEN experience which was evidently missing this past year. Instead of making progress throughout the season, JPW waivered, faltered, and stumbled. Yes, he may have taken the blame for the Tide's failures, but wouldn't one expect some semblance of growth, maturity,and development?

If we believe in the process, Coach Saban should hold a press conference by the coming weekend with the names of the coaching replacements. After all, the crucial recruitment phase is nearing a resounding crescendo.
